June 23 "What we have here is....Failure, to communicate...." At what point did the employee working the Canadian Tire gas station suddenly become my financial consultant, as well?
Ya know...Being hit up for countless upgrades is insulting enough. It's akin to saying, "NO, sir. That EXTORTIONATE $50 dollars in gas you purchased from me WASN'T enough. Can I have your first born as well?". Today, when I went to pay for my gas, they additonally tried to hit up for the following: drinks, cigarettes, candy bars, chips, newspapers, and even a carwash. When I politely said "No thanks.", they actually got offended.
"Why not?", the attend exclaimed.
I was absolutely shocked. "Well, let's see..." I responded. "I just shelled out $50 to your store, already. For a product that cost me HALF as much less than 3 months ago. I'll pass on the junk food. Because quite frankly, I enjoy being able to use the same weight belt I did when I was 16. I'll pass on the cigarettes. As I honestly feel lung cancer would just put a kink in my active lifestyle. I already read the news this morning. And if I'm too damn lazy to wash the car by hand, I think that's a sad commentary on my overall, physical condition. Now wouldn't you agree?".
At this point, you'd think he'd take the hint.
Well, you'd be wrong.
"How come you're paying with Visa? You need this." he says. Handing me a application for MASTERCARD. "And if you sign up, you'll save a few pennies every time you fill up.".
Now? I'm just, plain offended.
For the sake of arguement, I'm going to play "Devil's Advocate" on behalf of this insightful gentleman.
I am aware some of us "motorcycle enthusiasts" , with our copious amounts of tattoos, and white-trash attire, quite often fail to pass as the most intelligent of individuals. The likes of which may possibly result in us being labeled an obvious mark. That much, I conceed. However. It would require a substantial degree of "daftness" on my part, possibly on par with that of mere dirt, for me to leap at such an opportunity over a "few pennies".
"So just so I understand you....", I comment. "You want me to acquire ANOTHER piece of plastic....ON TOP of the one I already own...The likes of which, is ever LESS practical than the one I currently own...Dispensing all my private information....The likes of which, will undoubtably be sold to someone else at my expense....Just so YOU can make a signing bonus? And I'm expected to do this, in the middle of one of THE WORST recessions in history?"

City road repair is conservatively "5 years behind" in upkeep. The Gardener project is STILL uncompleted from OVER 5 years ago. And this is just the stuff off the top of my head.

Does the fence in that linked video even look remotely secure? No wonder the dog lept over it with ease. To add insult to injury, the owner's apathy over the whole situation, is atypical of many modern-day dog owner's. Don't they always say their dog is, "usually very well behaved and there's no reason why the dog may have gone on the offensive". Or something to that effect? Translation: "It's YOUR fault.".
I wonder how apathetic the police, or the owner would have been, if that was the throat of a child that vicious dog ripped out? I'm a big fan of "Man's Best Friend". However. In that situation, it wouldn't my "phone" I was reaching for.
Keep that in mind, people. If you dog suddenly decides to bolt towards anyone in my household.

Pagent representatives were literally TRIPPING over their own words on 'Larry King Live' yesterday. Tossing out a laundry list of excuses for firing Prejean, in the faint hope that just one would stick. Of course, anyone with half a brain and one good functioning eye, can see right through their transparency and body language. Naturally, they had Ms. Prejean's politically-correct replacement on hand. Who, once again, naturally plugged the politically-correct beliefs the pagent directors WANTED her to.
Shit, guys. Why not just get a puppet wth a blonde wig? It certainly would have been most cost effificent in the long run. As you can use it, again and again.
Listen, people. The 'gay marriage' question was a loaded one, and came from none other than PEREZ HILTON. An individual who is not only openly gay, but has a PATHOLOGICAL HATRED OF WOMEN. This is a man, who makes his living bashing straight women on his website. Taking personal shots at every aspect of their lives. Including their physiques. Don't believe me? The largest controversey is NOT Prejean's answer to the question. Which, even if one does not agree with her opinion, was nonetheless answered with honesty, intelligence, and lacking callousness. The REAL question is this: HOW did a man like Hilton, EVER get the job as a judge for such a contest, based on his track record? That's as idiotic and insensitive as inviting ADOLPH HITLER to a Holocaust memorial service.
Furthermore. If the precedent such pagents are trying to set, is that stong, independant woman can be beautiful as well, how badly does it look when you FIRE them, for demonstrating such? And make no mistake, people: That's why she was fired. Regardless of the obviously transparant lies they are currently peddling all over the media.
The only factual evidence that can be ascertained from this who scenario, is this: "Freedom of Speech" definately DOES NOT exist, in the State of California. The one person who was supposed to come out looking dirty in this glorified "smear campaign" (i.e.Carrie Prejean) ironically enough came out looking the cleanest. An she certainly has more BALLS, than Hilton will EVER hope to have.

The implimentation of the Roadside Seizure law by Julian FACISTino, should have sent up red flags to anyone with half a functioning brain. His attempts to work as a independant contractor for insurance companies, was an ever LARGER reg flag. Now, it's beyond the point of no return, with the "Ontario's Civil Remedies Act". Take special note of the phraseology...
"If the police just "think" property in your possession may have come from criminal activity, it can be legally confiscated.".
And for the sake of "legal-speak"....
"does not require an allegation or proof that a particular person committed a particular crime,"
Possibly the best indicator of a shift against that of public interest, is the B.C.'s Civil Forfeiture Office self-description as a "business".
That's right, people! They used the term "BUSINESS".
A BUSINESS, exists soley to generation REVENE and PROFITS. Being a government office, representing the interests of the tax-paying, general public, their ONLY concern should entail the proper dispersement of proceeds, acquired as a result of a CRIMINAL CONVICTION. Whether such proceeds are quantitatively high or low, should not even be a concern to them. As such has no baring whatsoever, on the duties of the office itself.
So what does this all mean?
Essentially, it means everyone is "fair game" when the pudgy, starched shirts in government office decide they need to "fuel the trough" from your pocketbook. Gone are the days, when you had to be a labeled (Notice how I used the term "LABELED"?) and convicted member of organized crime (i.e. A mob member, "outlaw" biker, gang affiliate, etc.) to have such legal liberties applied to you. Now, you're on par with such individuals.
Isn't it wonderful living in a society, where the rules are changed to better suit the players? Players, which already have too much authority to begin with?
STILL feel safe? June 07 Breeding your way onto a "Reality show".... Why do we make celebrities out of individuals, who willingly have INSANE amounts of children?
Why is Hollywood shelling out 7-figure "reality show" contracts to these people? Who are the individuals wasting an hour out of every week, watching these people herd their children from place to place? How does this qualify as "entertainment", when this process transpires daily at daycare centers the world over? I don't see anyone showing up with a big, fat Hollywood contract for these underpaid workers on the front lines. Workers who often do a better job at child rearing, then the actual parents themsleves.
Why should I salivate over these weekly "dog and pony shows"? Who's demonstrating concern for the countless single mothers on welfare, because their children were unfortunate enough to be fathered by a deadbeat? When a woman who's a glorified "attention whore", and defines her self-worth by the amount of children she can bring into this world, decides to have 14 children with no means of financial support to her name, suddenly it's a crisis? Subsequently, the world must come together to save her? And what reasonable and compassionate parent, would willingly subject their children to the 24-hour sideshow that is Hollywood?
I cannot have sympathy for women who pump themelselves full of fertility drugs, without first thinking of the conseqences. Or, subsequently being prepared for such. The doctors who flaunt the regulations around such treatments, should be held criminally liable.
There are abused, unwanted, neglected children the world over BEGGING to be adopted. I fail to see how the trials and tribulations of infertility tugs more on the heartstrings, than a story a child forced to fend for itself by eating our of dumpsters.
I don't know. Maybe that's just my personal shortcoming.
May 30 I just can't keep up anymore....This is just insane. If you're able to keep score (The likes of which I'm having the hardest time doing at this rate.) we're charging a dirty cop weekly. WEEKLY. And keep in mind: These are only the ones we're hearing about.

Hey guys....Let's see if you can go just one week, WITHOUT being glorified "criminals with a badge". May 11 Has anyone seen "Toronto"? Has anyone seen the former city of "Toronto"? Anyone? Anyone at all?
I've been growing more nostalgic for it with greater frequency. Having been born there, worked and spent a very sizable portion of my life in GTA, I can remember a time when Toronto actually had testicular fortitude, and a sturdy backbone. When the individuals running it weren't politically-correct, self-serving cowards. And as such, looked out for the whole of its population. Not select special interest groups, who assuredly vote them back into power. Just for bequeathing to them privileges the average citizen such as myself would never receive in the first place. I can remember a time when the money I invested in my hometown actually WENT to bettering my hometown. It was obvious all around me. The streets were clean. Roads were well-managed. Police had a vested interest in performing their duties, because they were able to look around them and see the fruits of their labors. Order was maintained. I felt extremely safe anywhere I went, and at any time of day or night. Quality of life was much better. Nobody harassed you. However. There comes a point in time, where you can no longer tolerate someone essentially, "pissing in your face, and telling you it's raining.". I reached this point a while back. City roads and sidewalks are crumbling around us. Public transit is quickly becoming filthy and unaccommodating. Even to its downtown residents. Never mind visitors. It's violent. Especially the "Entertainment District". City Hall is ethically bankrupt. Hundreds of millions of dollars which are strongarmed from us in tax hikes, and in an assortment of other nefarious means by Toronto City Hall, are wasted every year on unfinished and unnecessary construction and/or "green" projects. And I never thought I'd live to say this: Based on the amount of times they're in the news for one assorted crime after another, I'm more afraid of the current police force, than petty criminals. Again. Never imagined I'd ever feel that way, but I do. I loathe such, because I'm fully aware if borders on prejudice. My only consolation being, I didn't get that way on my own. As if this wasn't horrible enough, now Mayor Miller is essentially allowing our hospitals and city roads to be hikacked at will. Offering no resistance whatsoever. Is this "Canada" or "Somalia"? From a point of sheer lawlessness, I honestly can't tell anymore.
Curiously. I wonder if myself, and a few other hundred Caucasian motorcycle riders were to hijack a section of Toronto and protest a legitimate Canadian concern that affects ALL its population, how many paddy wagons would be shipped their in a nanosecond? How many cannisters of pepper spray would we be fed? How many batons would we be digging out of our mouths, along with our remaining teeth? I'm betting all the food drives and charity runs bikers do, wouldn't save us from a beating. Yet the Tamil protesters who ARE selfishly motivated and violent, as repeatedly proven over the last few days, are obviously getting a "free pass". Call me jaded. But do you think "race" and "politics" may have something to do with it? If the "Old Toronto" actually rears its head, someone please have it call me. I'd be nice to actually see it again sometime. Pardon me if I just won't hold my breath waiting. May 07 I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) That's right, kiddies! After a brief hiatus, and much prodding by my loyal fans, I have returned with a vengence! I'm back, I'm angry, and I'm still saying "WTF?".

Now this story is DOUBLEY funny, kids! Not to mention ironic. You have a 36 year-old veteran of major league baseball, pretending to be completely ignorant of his employer's drug policy. But additionally, in this VERY, SAME paper, a fan of the game wrote in a letter claiming that major league baseball, as it stands today, is "100% drug-free". And we're all crazy to believe otherwise.
To the dumbass that wrote that letter, allow me to say this much.
If you believe that major league baseball is "100% clean", even after all these busts, in all likelyhood, you additionally believe in "Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy" and God knows what else. To essentially state this man had NO idea what he was taking was illegal, is akin to saying HE'S THE STUPIEST ATHLETE ON THE PLANET. Especially since league drug policies are written in plain English, and distributed to all players. There's no other logical explaination but he's a MORON, and in SERIOUS NEED of a babysitter.

March 31 The magical, goverment wand! Wow! I'm seen some unbelievable feats of magic in my time, but this one takes the cake....
I had no idea our Provincial governments could reverse, or completely override, the longstanding, scientific principles of human biology! The fact that this poor shumuck now has to beg and plead his case before The Supreme Court of Canada, just shows how desperate the Provinces are to take some degree of financial and social responsibility out of THEIR hands, and lay it at the feet of someone completely underserving of such a burden. Again. WOW. With tricks like this, they should be working their own show five nights a week at 'The Palms', in Las Vegas.
I love how the Province trys to put the blame on the man, by saying the gentlemen in question, "acted like dad". Well...OF COURSE he did! He didn't know he was dating a CHEATING WHORE OF A WOMAN, who was engaging in UNPROTECTED SEX behind his back. He's damn-near lucky he didn't catch HIV in the process. In addition to what he's currently being dragged through.

Only in Canada can a person commit such a henious crime, be coherant enough to attempt an escape, admit guilt immediately upon being captured, and STILL be found "NOT GUILTY, BY REASON OF MENTAL DISEASE" by a judge, that can't even find his ass, with both hands and a map.
I'm utterly lost for words. Really.
To add insult to injury, in an attempt to justify his decision, Judge Scurfield actually states, "That does not mean that he should go free. People who are found not criminally responsible but who continue to pose a danger to the community may be kept in a locked institution for the rest of their lives.". The key word being "MAY".
Because the vast majority of the "thinking" public such as myself, KNOW more often than not, that's NOT what happens. The "Schizophrenic" man that murdered my neighbour in cold blood several years back was "confined" to a hospital for...IF YOU CAN BELIVE THIS...a LIFE-ALTERING, SIX MONTHS. And in some medical circles, that's considered a "lengthy" institutional stay. After which, they'll be let back into society. ONCE AGAIN repeating the process of refusing to take their medication, and ONCE AGAIN becoming a threat to society. Just like the "Schizophrenic" woman that vandalized my car yesterday at Tim Horton's in Mississauga. Because someone wouldn't give her money to by crack. But HEY! "It's not their fault. They're sick.", right?
The "I hear voices" defense has become so watered-down over the last 30 years from repeated use, it honestly needs to be stricken altogether for the legal system. We've gotten to the point where even trained psychiatrists can no longer diagnose who's legitimately ill, and who is not. The above case is just one glaring example of such. As "offensive" as this may sound to many? I'm sorry: Schizophrenics SHOULD NOT be afforded the same rights as individuals stricken with other diseases. It's an entirely different matter altogether if a person suffering from such takes their medication religiously, and are not a threat to the general public. However, those that don't, and end up comitting crimes of this magnitude, need to be locked away for the rest of their natural lives. Thus protecting the greater good.
We don't allow people to roam the streets with loaded firearms, dangerous animals, or weapons of any sort. So why do we make the exception for an individual who, for all intents and purposes, is an "explosive waiting to go off at any moment"? Because they don't want to take their medicine? OH! The hardships of having to pop a pill!
This is "justice", Mr. Scurfield? Why thank you, sir! I feel SO MUCH SAFER!
I wonder how he'd feel if this man moved next door to him? February 22 Oh joy!!! And just when you thought it was safe to take the subway....
I find it funny that this alleged "schizophrenic", was suppsoedly so "out of touch" with reality, that he didn't know it was wrong when he pushed two complete and total strangers infront of a oncoming train. Yet, if you watch the video taken of his arrest, he was coherant enough to first inform the police he was unarmed, and place his hands behind his back, before they even took him into custody. And naturally, it's up to the court to prove he doesn't hear voices.

February 16 Michael Phelps-1, Sheriff Leon Lott-0......... It has to be EATING Lott up inside. When, after all his arrests, raids, and Nazi strongarm tactics, not ONE person would roll on Phelps. NOT ONE. Lott came off looking so bad over this, I think he should consider resigning. Seriously. Salvage what's left of his dignity, and just move on. When you upset that many lives, just for the sake of acquiring your own "15 minutes of fame", then obviously you're in law enforcement to gratify or inflate your own ego. Last I checked, that wasn't part of the vocation. Personally, I'd feel rather embarassed. Were I in his shoes. Or JACKBOOTS. As in his case. February 12 So to answer my aforementioned question.............YES. There apparently is no REAL crime going on in South Carolina.
UBER hick Sheriff Leon Lott is quoted as saying, "I just don't think you can have something like this done, and publicized, and say "I'm sorry.", and expect us to forget about it. He broke the law.". Well THANK GOD Lott is on the case. We wouldn't want a double standard applied to Phelps, like they apply to some police forces all over North America. Some of which aren't even TESTING their officers from drugs anymore!
It's interesting to note.....In the eight arrests that occured over the last few days, not ONE time police have actually inquired about the source of the pot in question. Everything they've asked about concerns Michael Phelps' identity on that tape. But remember: The M.O. of this whole scenario, supposedly involves taking down a potential drug dealer. So would logic not dictate you actually ASK questions about such? I've never been one to tell someone else how to do their job, but up to now, this whole scenairo is coming across more like THE worst case of celebrity voyerism I've ever seen, than anything resembling a police investigation.

And while you're at it, maybe you should consider sending Jose an apology, for all the times you slandered his name at your 'local watering hole', while watching a ball game.

February 07 "Who's the BITCH NOW?" I'm sure there will be alot of people who want this kid to have the books thrown at him....
Well, I have news for you: I can totally empathize with him. Over two decades ago, I was in this kid's shoes. And just like this kid, the "safety net" that was supposed to protect me, comprised of teachers, councilors, and principles, did absolutely NOTHING to stem the relentless shit-kickings and verbal threats I took on a daily basis. "It's just kids being kids.", they told my mother. One principle even said,"He probably had it coming". Alleging that I had done something she wasn't aware of. And this is a person in charge of rearing young, influential minds. Scary.
Some of the parental responses include...."As a parent I still can't justify having that type of behavior in school,". And "I know it's hard, it's a difficult age. But there's no excuse for bringing violent weapons to school."
NEWS FLASH, people. What did you THINK was going to happen? This isn't some "garden variety" Jane-Finch pissant. A kid who's listened to one, too many Tupac albums. And decides he's going to go "off" one of his fellow students, for accidently scuffing his Puma in gym class. This is a kid, who was in genuine fear for his life. Some modern psychiatric studies find the kind of repeated psychological trauma experienced by this kid, ON PAR with that found on modern battlefields. DOESN'T THAT TELL YOU SOMETHING?
The biggest irony of all, is that because of the incident, the kid won't be allowed to return to school. Which will actually be BETTER, for both his physical AND psychological health. The tragedy of it all, is that he was essentially strong armed into taking such a drastic step in the first place.

I'm not going to choke up this blog with a "laundry list" of professional atletes who have, or are currently "tapping the bong". But list ranges from pro ball players, to professional fighters, and everything in between. The fact that a South Carolina Sheriff's department is STILL considering pressing charges, based on a video of someone smoking pot , is laughable. Were this anyone else, I'm very much doubting they'd actually care. But I guess not much of criminal importance goes on in South Carolina. Certainly NOBODY smokes pot there, right Sheriff? Maybe I'm asking the wrong person. Are your kids available for comment?
Listen, people. Michael Phelps is an "ATHETE". Not a "role model". He never asked to be. The media placed him on that pedestal, while his only concern was the first-place swimmer's podium. Stop looking to the "average joe" for role models, or you'll be disappointed every time. Phelps is a human being. He's fallible just like everyone else. In this case, his only real mistake, was being TAPED doing so. Had it not surfaced, would you have ever known from his behavior that he had ever done it? I didn't think so. Not to metion, pot convictions are being tossed out of courtrooms all over North America, like "salads in porno". So don't be a hypocrite. Because I'm fairly certain YOUR closet isn't exactly spotless. And you know damn-well his door will be the FIRST you go banging on, when you want another national gold medal. OR FOURTEEN, as the case may be.
