December 29 The Horror of the Homeless! How's this for the "Christmas Spirit" in action:
Not surprising, however. The Beaches section of Toronto, is chalked full, of filthy-rich yuppies, R.U.B.'s (rich urban bikers), and snobs of the First Order. The fact their residents would make such an awful stink over something so trivial to them, but incredibly essential to the welfare of another, just goes to demonstrate their community's lack of character, and overall absence of empathy for their fellow man. With so much monitarily at their disposal, why not take the opportunity to help better a life, and give back a mere fraction of what they themselves have been blessed with? Or even offer up one's leisurely time in the soup kitchen, for just a few hours a month? Something that would actually benefit BOTH parties. As it would act a physical reminder to the one serving, as to just how great their fortunes are?
Naw. Better to let them starve, freezing to death on the streets. It will provide them with entertainment. Something they can watch, while sipping lattes from behind the warm cofines, of their high moral ground.
Humanity in action. Gotta love it.
Gh0sT December 18 "2006 Person Of The Year"............ So Time magazine, has named me "2006 Person Of The Year":
You know....I've been wondering EXACTLY when the hell they were going to get around to doing that. They've run the gaumtlet, of token dictators and kniving Presidents. So I knew it was just a matter of time, before they got around to nominating me. Usually, they judge the nominees, on a general sense of worldly influence, or on some profound, monumental accomplishments. A dictator, holding the world on edge, would certainly account for the former. A President, being elected to a second term in office, despite being openly self-serving and dishonest, would account for the latter.
Never having held a position in office myself (Because, let's be honest: I'd want to be a politician, about as much as I would want to receive a rectal, wrapped in sandpaper.), I assume I was voted in, under the "worldy influence" catagory. However, now that I think about it, I could just have easily been voted in based on "personal accomplishments".
Exactly what influences have I perpetuated? Exactly what have I accomplished, you ask?
Well, let's examine....
Most importantly, I'd like to believe I've influenced the people around me, to live life on THEIR own terms. And NOT to live for those around them. Do the former, and you will rest easier at night. Sleep with a clear conscious, and be able to look yourself in the mirror everyday. Do the latter, and you'll inevitably die unhappy, and regretful. Doing the former, DOES come with its own set of headaches. Nothing's a free pass, you might make some enemies along the way, and piss off even some of your closest kin. However, it's certainly the lesser of the two evil's. I feel, anyways. So if you forget everything else in life, NEVER forget that. Do so, and it will come back to haunt you. Possibly, at the very worst of times.
My biggest personal accomplishment? Well, I'm STILL taking up oxygen, for starters. Had you asked me ten years ago (and a few psychiatrists, while you're at it) if I would be here at this time, I'd have probably said no. Just based on my life experiences thus far. Then again, I've always been about beating the odds. Make no mistake. I'm NOT fishing for sympathy. Just saying. I knew people who had it a helluva lot better than me, who are currently pushing up daisies, because they couldn't take the pressure. One took a swan dive off a building, and the other ate a gun. Me? I'm of the persuasion, if I ever go down, I'm going down swinging, and finger-wagging. Yes. My job is in jeporady right now. My health hasn't been the greatest these last few years, and I'm constantly in pain. However, you won't find me laying down on the tracks, waiting for the train to come by. Maybe playing "chicken" with it. But certainly not laying for it. :)
Some people are content, just to be a footnote in history. Me? I'd rather be a legacy. Even if it's a legacy, only spoken about by a select few after I'm gone. So if you live your life like legacy, know I probably would have voted for you, too.

December 13 In the news this week....... This is precisely WHY I would trust a used car salesperson, over a politician. At least with salesperson, you know you're being taken for a ride upfront. I love how the one line says, both the Liberals and Conservatives approved of the pay hike. Well....NO S@#T.........
Not EXACTLY "news". I mean, check out the address, of the aforementioned mall. Enough said........
The irony about this next story? There are pet adoption agencies, that will actually turn a person down, if they feel the person in question is physically and/or mentally unfit, to care for the animal. Apparently, this doesn't apply to children. The fact that the parents of this infant felt they did nothing wrong, just goes to show the esclating degree of incompetency amongst adults today. In their defense, I guess when you reside in some Post-Communist, Neolithic, Eastern European s@#thole, where life is regarded with about as much sanctity, as I regard a used kleenex tissue, you can't logically expect any better from them.......
And that's the news as I see it, folks!
