 I'm completely at a loss. This seems like the most hypocritical program on earth. I mean, let's be honest, people. If Toronto was REALLY serious about reducing waste, wouldn't you start with the LARGEST pile of garbage FIRST?

 This guy has one, sweet-ass deal. Being both black AND gay, he has all bases covered. And unfortunately, he doesn't mind putting his own, personal spin on both, in order to garner more attention for himself.  I guess the tantrum he threw wasn't quite large enough. So, in an effort to "double up" on his ammo, he combined the issues of both race and sexual preference, to throw himself his own, personal "pity party" on CNN. Launching into this lengthy diatribe, about how it's SO much harder for black men to "come out of the closet", than it is for white men. The double standard, the hypocricy, the need to "stay in the closet", because black men are somehow less "accepted" as homosexuals. Blah, blah, blah.....

 

 For those of you who's social circle doesn't include a fair or moderate amount of homosexual friends or associates, allow me to say this: Bartlett and his opinions, are NOWHERE NEAR indicative, of any gay black men I've ever known or spoken to (And I've known more than average. Having had gay employers, customers, and good friends). In fact, Barlett is the only person I've ever heard, to have brought up this alleged issue of sexual intollerance in the gay and straight communities, based soley on race. I've never witnessed any such discrimination firsthand, or heard even secondhand accounts of such. When I inquired to a close friend, a gay black man in his 50's who's been "out" since the early 1970's, regarding the notion that it was somehow more acceptable for a caucasian man to come out in North American society than it was for a black man, the idea was absolutely foreign and perplexing to him. Again. The first he'd ever heard of it himself. And for this hotbed "issue" to still be occuring in, of all years, 2008? The first I've ever heard of it? C'mon, Mr. Barlett. You can do better than that.

 

 Some individuals seem predisposed to seek attention for themselves. My humble opinion? Mr. Barlett is one of them. It's just too bad he has all the right tools to do it, because he has the potential to give others in his position a bad name.

 So congrats to the ambulance chaser...er... mean "individual" named Eric McKinley. Who is now financially richer, because he purposely targeted his lawsuit towards a dating site, run by evangelical Christian Dr. Neil Clark Warren. Way to reach for that "brass ring", Eric! Why bother actually WORKING for your money, when you can SUE for it! How AMERICAN. Not to metion "ironic". Of all the gay and lesbian-oriented dating sites absolutely SPLATTERED across the internet, you somehow felt compelled to use the only one NOT spefically geared towards your own preferences! Oh well. That'll teach Dr. Warren a lesson for not tailoring his business life, around YOUR wants and needs.

 

 Additionally, congrats are in order to "The United States of America", for once again CRAPPING on the notions, of 'free enterprise' and 'religious freedom'!!! What's next on the agenda for "The Land of The Free"? Setting fire to houses of worship? Dragging church deacons into the middle of the streets, and beating them to within an inch of their lives? Or how about TORTURING them them into signing away their religious convictions?  How ironic. The best description of the 2008 American Federal Election, can actually be found in the dialogue of a movie titled, "The American President". It's also tragic, how a nation of over 300 000 000 citizens, so easily crumbled in a political game of "smoke and mirrors". Sad, they were unable to see the forrest from the trees.

 

 It would have been great to see what would have transpired, if John McCain had actually been ALLOWED to run a campaign. To broadcast to the untainted ear, his potential national and international policies for America's future. Unfortunately, his administration never even got out of the gate. With the use of two, simple words: "black" and "Bush", Obama's administration made every person who was opposed to their agenda a "racist", and a "war-monger". By repeatedly invoking a non-existant, direct link, between John McCain and George Bush. Two men who, if your average Obama supporter bothered to research both their political backgrounds, would see RADICAL differences in both policy, AND political experience. However, such required effort would take away from the time-tested, mudslinging tactics endorsed by the Obama camp. In short: Your atypical lazy, human behaviour. Very scary. When your average citizen won't even put in the required effort to research a political candidate, who just may end up governing their life for the next 4 years.

 

 A very close friend recently said to me, "Don't worry. In another few months, he'll already be breaking political promises, and blaming the previous administration for having to do so.". This I believe wholeheartedly. Considering this has been the crux of his whole electorial campain, I don't see him deviating from a practice, that's essentially worked for him thus far. I'm just curious to know if "King Obama" will still be their elected "Golden Boy", when he's unable to bring the economy around 180 degrees, invoke world peace, or "turn water into wine" in a span of less than four years. His supporters seem certainly convinced he will do so. I guess only time will tell. Even if he's unable to, there's always the standard to fall back on.....

I'm appauled (not shocked, unfortunately) at the astronomical amount of Americans, that are literally THROWING themselves at any television camera they see, just to proudly proclaim, "I voted for Obama because he's black!". Especially in his hometown of Chicago.

 

Well CONGRADULATIONS, nimrods! Your country is in economic termoil. You're buried in debt. Trapped in a war, in which the host country won't let you out of. And to top if off, you just elected a 1-TERM Senator, with NO military experience, and who's never even held 1 political office in his ENTIRE LIFE, to bail you out of all this. And this doesn't take into account the newly crowned, unpatriotic 1st Lady. Or his longstanding association, with an openly racist pastor. The likes of which openly hates whites and Jews, and brags about American deserving what happened to them at 9-11. And let's not forget his open willingness to fly over to Iran, and converse with its President and subsequent terrorist cells. The same ones that called time and time again for the complete and utter extermination of Israel. And I haven't even BEGUN to mention his "Marxist" philosophies.

 

But really. You're right. A current residing Governor, and a former war hero, with well over 4 DECADES in the senate, just doesn't copmpare to the experience of being a "community organizer' from Chicago.
