Apparently, crime DOESN'T exist on the TTC.....

If there was ever a shining example of how backward the city of Toronto is, try this one on for size....

I couldn't even BEGIN to list all the North American transit policing agencies that are currently armed. Really. I'd be here all day. It's much easier for me to expose one of the few, idiotic holdouts, and ask precisely why they are not providing their officers the same sense of security, as is every other agency. However, when you take into consideration the individual in charge is David "I drink alot of" Miller, it's not all that surprising a concept to grasp. This is a guy who, if given the opportunity, would throw our policing agencies back to the "Victorian era", and arm them only with batons.

It's funny how quickly T.T.C. Chair Adam Giambrone so easily dismisses the various requests from his own officers when he states, " We think that we have an adequate level of security with our Special Constables working very closely with Toronto Police Services.". Spoken like a true politican, who lives in a "plastic bubble". If Giambrone had been in that piticular train car when the shots rang out, I'm betting dollars to donuts he'd change his tune rather quickly.

"Politics 101: Guest starring....The Dreamtwister!!!"

There are certain things I absolutely refuse to share with anyone. My motorcycle, my woman, my beer, my underwear....You get the gist of what I'm saying.

Normally, this would include my blog. However. In tribute to all the Democrats out dancing in the streets after the Obama election, I thought I'd share with them one of, if not THE most accurately written descriptions of an incoming administration, I have EVER read. All of which being factually accurate. Don't believe me? Look for yourself. And REMEMBER! YOU, not US, voted these people in. "Crying towel" is in the closet, kiddies!

The "Obama Train" just keeps rolling...

I'm very much looking forward to the day, when Obama is finally sworn in as President. Really.

Not because I'm a fan of his political career (Because, let's be honest: Being a 1-term senator, he has NO "political career".), and not because I believe there's any truth to him keeping his campaign promises. In all honesty, I'm just plain, 'ol tired of hearing about him everywhere I go. Whether it's some woman on CNN, rambling on about how "fit and handsome" he is, a guy building a "Lego model" in his honour, or another person stating the obvious, "Ya know. We're going to have a black President!", I'm just bored of his "15 minutes".

Kids.....Here's God's honest truth of it all. Read it and weep.

Obama has ran one of (if not THE), most expensive electorial campaigns in American history. The template he's used, is no different than those used by 19th century "snakeoil" salesmen. It's all been fabricated to serve one, common purpose: To steer the voter away from the irrefudable fact, that Obama has almost NO experience in his chosen field whatsoever. NONE. Multi-millions have been spent by his spin doctors, to make this man appear that he is able to walk on water, and save the planet of all that ails it. But until all this actually transpires, it's nothing but hype. That's the sum-total of what it is.

"Political speak", is akin to a "prostitute's choice of attire": Cheap.

 Hope you all invested wisely.

Nice to see a double-standard still exists.....

Why not just give her an all-expenses paid vacaton while you're at it?

"Drugs".........

I'm now convinced more than ever, that society will never be able to entirely free itself from the grasp of drug use. Legal or otherwise.

We exist in an environment that is predisposed to make us sick. Both physical and psychologically. The host of variables that contribute, perpetuate, and induce the various forms of mental illness we are afflicted by, is absolutely endless. Work, finances, failed relationships, family issues, and even another individual's refusal to deal with their own maladjusted personality traits, can all conspire to break down the psyche, of what was originally a healthy, mentally coherent individual.
Many religions and belief systems (Scientology being the most prominent) tend to view drugs as "the big evil". But the truth of it all, is that your elementary, day-to-day existence is a psychological battlefield itself. We don't send our soldiers off to war without ammunition. Expecting the ordinary person to survive in modern-day society's hostile environment, and under extraordinary circumstances, is just plain illogical and irrational. So for the same reason I don't condemn battle scared soliders returning home from war, I try not to condemn hardcore addicts who've went entirely over the edge of sanity. Or even the "recreational" user, who can still function. Albeit medicated. Sure. I know there are sociopathic individuals using drugs as a crutch, to justify their antisocial behavior. However, we should judge them accordingly, and try not to let their egocentric practices influence our opinions of those who are truly addicted, to the only "relief" they know. Because the only thing worse than being a "casualty", is creating one yourself.

Someone once said to me, "Drugs, are a disease.". To which I replied, "Drugs are NOT the disease. "LIFE", is the disease. Drugs, are merely a symptom of it."

Remember what they said about history?

I wonder who funded this unsceintific bag of rubbish?

Based on their conclusions of this exercise, the implied notion is that anyone who doesn't completely and totally shun an individal, who's behavior could be construde as "racist", is CLEARLY one themselves. Which, SCIENTIFICALLY, was NOT proven in this exercise. Just because an individual contined to work with someone they disagreed with on one topic.

Ironically, the study's "acceptable" response, which would have been "imposed exclusion", goes DIRECTLY against the idology, of one of the greatest civil rights leaders of all time: Martin Luther King.

MLK, unlike his counterpart Malcom X, preached non-violent, racially inclusive resistence, to oppression of all sorts. Not only of African Americans, but to poor WHITE (Yes...I said "white".) Americans. King viewed racism as a "disease" of the mind. Something that was NOT a permanent state of being. But instead, something that could be cured and altered with love, passive resistence, and education. Even in his final speech, when King knew his life was in imminent danger at the hands of some white radicals, he expressed this notion when he said....

"And then I got to Memphis. And some began to say the threats, or talk about the threats that were out. What would happen to me from some of our sick white brothers?"

Notice King used the inclusive phrase, "sick white brothers" to describe his future assassins. Not "People whom we should exclude from the rest of society, because we feel they have no lasting potential whatsoever.". And yet, here we are, over 40 years later, reading garbage studies conducted with wasted money. Essentially pissing on an idology, a man died trying to educate us with. All this orcastrated, in an "institute for higher learning".

Maybe we should concentrate MORE on what history has taught us. Because obviously, we haven't been paying attention in class thus far.

"What do ya mean, 'I have to fight'????"

Apparently, there's yet ANOTHER one, that inexplicably "didn't know" the requirements of the job BEFOREHAND.....

Between City News, The Toronto Sun, and God knows HOW many others misusing terms such as "war resistor", "conscientious objector", and, if you can even believe this, "refugee", I think it's high time someone finally set the record straight. Because clearly, certain influential special interest groups are covertly re-defining long-established terminology, to better suit their agenda.

A TRUE "war resistor/conscientious objector", would NEVER join a military institution in the FIRST PLACE. Either as an infantry person who would engage in battle, OR, in any offshoot vocation of the military, that would perpetuate such type of institution. As both go directly against a legitimate "conscientious objector" moral code. Individuals are not drafted into the United States military. They freely VOLUNTEER for employment in such organizations. Knowing full well the nature of the job, and the consequences of their actions. Pleading ignorance after the fact, is patently absurd. It's the equivalent of someone being hired by the "Fire Department", and later claiming "I didn't know fighting fires was part of the job!". After refusing to enter a burning building.

Even MORE perplexing, is the notion that ANY of these people REMOTELY QUALIFY for "refugee" status. The people are not closet homosexuals feeling from a Middle East country. Where, if their sexual perference was disclosed, would be put to death. They are not Chinese Christian believers fleeing communist China. Where, if they made known such religious beliefs, would be imprisoned and tortured for the rest of their natural lives. These are individuals LOOKING TO BREAK A CONTRACT WITH THEIR EMPLOYER.  That's who they are. That's ALL they are. They wanted the paycheck, but didn't want to fulfill the harsh requirements of the job to collect it.

Nobody said being a soldier was an easy job. You'd be hard pressed to find one much more taxing on both the mind and body. However, there are many other jobs just as necessary, that are on par with military service. Correctional officers, who patrol our nation's super max prisons UNARMED. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three-hundred sixty-five days a year. Police officers, patrolling our streets and highways. Fire-Rescue services. Who die as much as 15-20 years prematurely, than your average person. Just due to the sheer volume of toxins they're forced to inhale, in the process of saving lives. I wonder what would transpire, if ever one of the above mentioned, suddenly decided to "jump ship" at the same time? Or, if they could essentially "pick and choose" the circumstances, under which they felt like working.

Ya. Think about that. Espeically he next time you pity one of these military DESERTERS.
